The development of Hindi language in the era of globalisation is immense and there is need to strengthen the language, asserted Prof G Gopinathan while speaking at a seminar organised at UPRTOU ( Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University on Monday. The topic of the seminar was - Globalisation, neo colonialism and option of Hindi.
He observed: "We have to take steps to popularise the language in the whole world." He remarked that Hindi was becoming one of the major languages in Asia . He also cautioned against the nefarious designs of Western powers who had popularised the consumerism culture.
Justice Girdhar Malviya observed that Rajarshi Tandon was one of the illustrious sons of India who recognised Hindi as the symbol of nationalism. He said that Tandon's dream would only be realised when Hindi would become the language of the whole world. Other speakers also presented their views on the occasion.
