14-year-old girl was a guest in our fine country

A 14-year-old girl was a guest in our fine country, learning how to ski on a beginner's slope in Vail, Colorado.
If you've ever been skiing before, you know That Learning Can Be Difficult - When You're 14 and especially from a country with no damn snow.

The beginner's course is cans be a particularly weird place, since it's filled with people WHO do not know how to ski. So the Mexican girl was Trying to navigate her way down the hill Pls someone fell in front of her. She naturally swerved to get out of the way, but That the caused her to Collide with the 4-year-old son of Scott Filler.

Pertinent facts about Mr. Filler: He's 41, from Decatur, Georgia, and a huge Douchebag.

When he saw his son get knocked over, he Did not say to Himself, "Hmmm, the collision occurred on the beginner's hill, Where There's a 367 percent probability That it was an accident. Maybe I Should check to see if everyone's alright. "

No, he decided to jump on top of the girl and punch her in the face. Surely Would this teach her to stay in Mexico and never have 3-mile-per-hour skiing accidents. The girl's ski instructor Could intervened before he hit her again.

Quickly Filler lawyered up, with his Barrister claiming he Did not know he was punching a little girl. We're not sure how They handle punching people out in Decatur, Georgia, but the rules here in True Crime dictate Land That you never smack someone under 5-foot-3 with long hair which looks like WHO They watch Degrassi marathons on Teen Nick.

Maybe we're just picky that way.

Filler has since been charged with child abuse and has been banned from the slopes. He's now rumored to be stalking the lodge day care centers, looking for 3-year-old boys think they're tough guys WHO.

boy got cooked

The boy suffered severe scalding to his entire body when he fell or jumped into a 212F (100C) pool in the North Island tourist resort of Rotorua.
Witnesses heard him screaming in agony and saw his skin peeling off during the Boxing Day incident.
He was airlifted by helicopter to the intensive care unit at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland.
The boy, who was of Pacific Island heritage, was with his family visiting Rotorua's Kuirau Park, a geothermal hot spot pockmarked by boiling pools of water and natural cauldrons of bubbling mud.
Fences surround the geothermal features and there are warning signs in the council-run public park.

A hospital spokesman said the boy's family were with him when he died.
Anna Kare, a Frenchwoman who runs a café in the city, said she was walking through the park with her mother-in-law and two daughters when she heard screaming.
She saw a teenager, whom she assumed to be the boy's brother, running through the park with the child on his back.
"At first I thought they were just playing until I heard what he was saying," Mrs Kare said.
"There was screaming and yelling. It was just horrible.
"The boy was yelling 'my hands, my hands', and then I saw that all the skin was peeled off his hands."
Garry Page, Rotorua District Council parks and recreation manager, said: "Apparently this boy had actually climbed up on to the fence and jumped into the pool.
"There's not a lot we can do to stop that if someone is that determined to get over the fence."
Mr Page said the incident was under investigation.
Rotorua, which lies at the heart of a geothermal plateau, attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each year to its geysers and related natural wonders.

breastfeeding a baby in public is only acceptable

Although most states permit breastfeeding in public, the subject is Quite Often Fraught and cans result in a serious amount of conflict. Such is the case with two New Jersey mothers , Who Are claiming That employees at a Dunkin 'Donuts franchise Because They Called the police breastfeeding were the resource persons in the presence of other customers. One of the mothers says her friend That toll was to "shut up" by the police - in front of her children.

Dunkin 'Donuts is denying the claim; as They eloquently wrote on Their Facebook page,

"We have looked into the matter Concerning two moms at a DD store in NJ & have confirmed the employee was responding to another customer's complaint That wasn't related to breastfeeding. None of the DD employees challenged the guests about breastfeeding and all must comply DDS w / local, state and federal laws w / regard to nursing mothers. Our top priority is always to Provide an excellent experience for our guests. "

Also Jezebel reports That the issue of May have been one of her mothers That was changing the baby's diaper on or near the table - the which would be more egregious if it wasn't Also for the fact That there was no diaper changing table in this Dunkin ' Donuts. And Also It would be helpful for the employees of any restaurant in New Jersey to know That breastfeeding in public is completely legal.

The whole situation is Hazy, but the comments on the Consumerist blog post show That there are many, many people are uncomfortable with the WHO breastfeeding in public. I've selected a sample choice here:

"Good, do not do that stuff in public, it's disgusting."

"When are you people going to Realize That breastfeeding a baby in public is only acceptable if the mom is SUPER hot??"

"Stupid question but why Would anyone breastfeeding Want To drink coffee anyway Is not caffeine in the infant a bad thing? Again I have no issues with breast feeding I just find it odd That breast feeding women are going to boycott DD maybe Pls That Would be a good thing for the babies anyway. "

Guide on How to impress Beautiful Women

There are billions of people on the planet walking around, going about their days and generally doing the things that people who are alive do. Out of those billion, half of them are women – beautiful women who enjoy and relish good flirtatious interactions. There's a misconception floating around, perpetuated by society that beautiful women don't like getting approached by men. And that's a falsehood – they like being approached by men. But they only like it when you approach them correctly — if you try to seduce them on a unicycle while hooting and hollering at them– it's most likely not happening. If you know the right way to go about it, it's on. Here are some quick tips to remember.

Just Go Out and Do It

Vague advice, yes. But get motivated. People don't make changes in their lives unless they're highly motivated. You don't get that way by sitting in your house, making vague and hollow promises about altering your life. That's how you get Cheetos dust on your clothes. Chances are, you've read a lot of articles on the internet. A lot of articles about picking up beautiful women. But unless you have the motivation to actually put those concepts into practice, you're wasting a lot of time not implementing. You're either doing it, or you're not. Put down your computer. If you have a Dating  for Dummy's, throw it out the window and collect it after last call. Make a schedule about going out and doing it every day – consistency is your friend. The people who get the best at this get that way because they operate very consistently – gaming is part of their life. It's programmed in them. Psyche yourself up and attack.

Find Areas With High Pedestrian Traffic

Or if you're going out at night, clubs that are bumping. It's good to approach a few women, but it's much better to approach dozens of them. There are dozens of women out there, waiting for you to approach them. They're in book stores, tourist destinations, shopping centers, spas, and on the street. Find where they are – every city has a spot for it. Find out what clubs are good on which nights, and go. If you don't know where to look, you'll never find what you're looking for.

Open Conversations Immediately

As soon as you walk into any venue start approaching women and men by opening conversations. If you're in a casual, day-to-day environment such as a coffeeshop or bookstore, ask a simple question like if they recommend something for you to orderor if they have a suggestion for a new item. When greeted and approached warmly people are happy with the approach as it is a nice change in their mundane routine. If you're having a night out don't wait around for someone to talk to you or you might end up waiting through the entire evening. A casual greeting to a group of people near you is usually all you need to get the ball rolling and you will be surprised how open they are to meeting others. A lot of times, that serious man or woman is just waiting for someone else to engage them, just like you were.

Always Sort Out Your Logistics

Fixing your logistics means aligning the different variables you find in particular social situations. You're in a coffee shop, and see a beautiful woman who is seated. What do you do? You could take a seat next to her, quickly greet her, then get coffee, do some non-verbal communication from across the shop like making eye contact and smiling – but you're able to do that because she's seated. Talking louder in noisy venues, being able to speak to them comfortably, intercepting street traffic because you're able to discern walking patterns – it's just as important to take these things into account as basic conversation skills and good openers. Situations dictate interactions just as much as the content does. So account for them, and try to control them.

deep level of commitment

While there are still couples who wait for a deep level of commitment before having sex, today it's far more common for two people to explore their sexual compatibility before making long-term plans together. So does either method lead to better marriages?
A new study in the American Psychological Association's Journal of Family Psychology sides with a delayed approach.
The study involves 2,035 married individuals who participated in a popular online marital assessment called "RELATE." From the assessment's database, researchers selected a sample designed to match the demographics of the married American population. The extensive questionnaire includes the question "When did you become sexual in this relationship?"
A statistical analysis showed the following benefits enjoyed by couples who waited until marriage compared to those who started having sex in the early part of their relationship:
·                      Relationship stability was rated 22 percent higher
·                      Relationship satisfaction was rated 20 percent higher
·                      Sexual quality of the relationship was rated 15 percent better
·                      Communication was rated 12 percent better
For couples in between -- those that became sexually involved later in the relationship but prior to marriage -- the benefits were about half as strong.
"Most research on the topic is focused on individuals' experiences and not the timing within a relationship," said lead study author Dean Busby, a professor in Brigham Young University's School of Family Life.
"There's more to a relationship than sex, but we did find that those who waited longer were happier with the sexual aspect of their relationship," Busby added. "I think it's because they've learned to talk and have the skills to work with issues that come up."
Sociologist Mark Regnerus of the University of Texas at Austin, who was not involved with this research, read the study and shared his take on the findings.
"Couples who hit the honeymoon too early -- that is, prioritize sex promptly at the outset of a relationship -- often find their relationships underdeveloped when it comes to the qualities that make relationships stable and spouses reliable and trustworthy," said Regnerus, author of Premarital Sex in America, a book forthcoming from Oxford University Press.

Because religious belief often plays a role for couples who choose to wait, Busby and his co-authors controlled for the influence of religious involvement in their analysis.
"Regardless of religiosity, waiting helps the relationship form better communication processes, and these help improve long-term stability and relationship satisfaction," Busby said.
BYU professors Jason Carroll and Brian Willoughby are co-authors on the study.

test out hot ice cream which glow in the dark

After a semester of studying the science behind food, students in Harvard's popular cooking classes test out hot ice cream, glow in the dark gummy bears, and other unusual foods.

For food fanatics, it has been one of the great Culinary challenges of the last couple of decades: how do you make a tender That noodle pasta without using traditional mimics wheat?

Many have tried, and many have failed. Many others have gotten close, but Often the specimen Either falls apart as it's cooking in boiling water or is so rubbery That it's not worth eating. So Pls award winning chef Barbara Lynch presented the challenge to a group of Harvard undergrads this past semester, three industrious young students jumped at the chance to study the problem as part of Their research project for the school's " Science and Cooking "class.

Gluten-free Noodles Are Often Made with Some sort of gelling agent like Xanthan gum to bind the ingredients together. (In regular pasta, the gluten from wheat That creates a protein matrix holds everything in place.) But the which would be the easiest to cook? Which Would Produce the best mouth feel? The trio, Jennifer Kusma senior, junior Michelle Burschtin, and junior Erica Seidel-created five sorghum flour-based doughs, EACH with a different agent, and set about testing EACH one.

They evaluated EACH dough by blind taste test (10 lucky friends got to try all five pastas) and by calculating the elasticity of EACH sample (accomplished by attaching weights to the cooked noodle and measuring how far They stretched). The results were the resource persons compared to store-Bought wheat pasta, and the group found That both the for and locust bean gum for dough That ACTED created the most like the more traditional macaronis.

But, Their successful project wasn't the only one to come out of the class, the which was Designed to teach science principles through food . It was just one of about 125 projects That students put together Throughout the semester. The experiments yielded a variety of Culinary breakthroughs That May be coming soon to a restaurant near you.

Hot ice cream? Check. Just add methyl cellulose, a thickener That cans withstand high temperatures. Heat-resistant chocolate? No problem. A naturally occurring enzyme transglutaminase Called cans keep the chocolate from melting. Glow in the dark gummy bears? Easy. Just add a little quinine.

"There were huge numbers of really creative projects That Could be Used in Some way," said Michael Brenner, a professor of applied mathematics and physics at Harvard. "The cooking was experimental and rooted in many of the principles of science We studied all semester." The class Went so well, in fact, that Harvard will from be offering it again next year with the help of one of its key sponsors, the Alicia Foundation , an organization dedicated to food and science.

One group of students tackled the question Important party. Why does guacamole brown cans and what WE DO about it?

The answer lies in polyphenol oxidase, an enzyme That combines with oxygen to speed up cellular decomposition. The students found That by Leaving the avocados in Their peels and giving Them a hot water bath for A Few Minutes denatured the enzyme. The guacamole stayed a nice green even after sitting out for a while.

Another student figured out how to make what is essentially hot jello. Bethany Bacigalupe, a sophomore from Newton, Massachusetts, looked at the properties of soup stocks-the which use the gelatin from animal bones coaxed out by water and heat-and set up a series of experiments Designed to explore how to keep gelatin stable at high temperatures .

"The chefs from wd-50 wanted a solid soup stock or gelee That does not melt Pls it's heated up, "said Bacigalupe, referring to the Restaurant Owned by one of the course's guest lecturers, Wylie Dufresne. "They wanted to make a solid Soup That Tastes like and has everything a soup Would have but with a different texture."

Used Bacigalupe transglutaminase Also known as meat-glue-to solidify the bonds Between the animal proteins in the stock. It made for a heat-resistant gel That Could withstand temperatures of up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. And, she checked the pH of the stock to make sure That it Did not interfere with the enzyme.

Though she worked on a very small slice of food science, Bacigalupe takes a more meta view of the class and her experiment.

"You're Deconstructing taste and Flavors ... and creating a different experience," said Bacigalupe. "The goal here was to be Able to make a hot consomme That was solid, but the technique cans give you a lot of options. You can flavor this any Way You Want. "
