insulin that does not require refrigeration

http://www.topnews.in/health/files/insulin.jpgScience students in Australia claim to have discovered a form of insulin that does not require refrigeration.

The chemistry students from Monash University in Melbourne have said insulin's chemical structure has been strengthened so it is effective when stored at temperatures above four degrees Celsius.

They have said the discovery will especially help the 285 million diabetes sufferers worldwide.

The major breakthrough which is not likely to be marketed by pharmaceutical companies for a number of years was made by changing certain aspects of the molecular structure of insulin.
