Mutalik banned


Sri Rama Sene leader Pramod Mutalik on Tuesday said he will appeal to the governor to ban the Popular Front of India and Karnataka Forum

for Dignity.

Speaking to reporters at the court premises in Mysore, Mutalik said Sene executive committee members will meet the governor on August 17 and submit a memorandum in this regard. Mutalik, who has been charged with abetment and criminal conspiracy in connection with communal violence that broke out in July, appeared before judge Rajesh Kamte on Tuesday. However, the SRS chief has been told to appear for the next hearing on August 25.

Mutalik denied his involvement in the violence and said he has been wrongly framed in the case.
