schools SMS to attract more parents to join there kids.
Have you received any SMS on school admissions for your child? And have you wondered how people know you are looking for a
good school for your child? 'Outsourcing' is in — new schools are advertising themselves by employing agents who send SMSes
to you.
Parents admit their children to schools like jes public school, prathana's, kumarans public school, National Public School
without worry, given their good reputation. But many private schools with good infrastructure and advanced techno-driven
campus and air-conditioned shuttles don't find enough parents coming to them.
These schools that were set up only a year ago or so face tough competition from the brand names tend to advertise
themselves. "Here comes outsourcing. Upcoming institutions approach agents who sell their ads through mails, SMS and
other means. The latest and easiest being through SMSes. This agent can be from the ad agency or anybody whom the school
pays in bulk. The person then goes to telecom-service providers, gets the database and randomly sends messages," a parent
pointed out.
Ad agencies and schools may gain, but do children get good-quality education from these new schools in town? While that's
debatable, what's certain is that some of these schools are definitely getting popular.
