A lost 'Beatles' song begun by band member George Harrison has finally been completed 40 years on. Harrison, who died in 2001, scribbled the first ten lines of a song called 'Silence (Is Its Own Reply)' in the 1960s, Sun online reported.
It was discarded on the floor of the Abbey Road studios before being given to author Hunter Davies for a 1968 official biography of the band. The song remained ignored until BBC Radio Merseyside host Spencer Leigh asked contemporary songwriter Dean Johnson to finish them.
The lyrics were at first thought to have been about love but are now believed to relate to Harrison's uneasy relationship with band mate John Lennon. "I'm happy to say it's only a dream, When I come across people like you, It's only a dream and you make it obscene," the lyrics of the song read.
