Supreme Raju has acquired the overseas rights of director S.S. Rajamouli's much-hyped Ram Charan Teja starrer Magadheera, to be released in 1500 theatres simultaneously in 14 countries on July 31. Overseas, Magadheera will be released with 25 overseas prints in 40 locations.

Speaking at a press meet at the Film Nagar Cultural Centre in Hyderabad on Friday, Supreme Raju said that Magadheera is the first Telugu film to be released with 25 prints overseas. After Magadheera, the production house would also release Snehithuda and Rechchipo, he added.

Produced by producer-distributer Allu Arvind under the banner of Geeta Arts with a whopping budget of Rs. 45 crores, Magadheera is said to be an action-based romantic thriller to attract audiences of all classes. It is set in the backdrop of the divine mysteries of death and rebirth.

With each passing day, the ambitious magnum opus 'Magadheera' has been coming up with more interesting highlights. Now, there is news that it will be setting a record of sorts as the film is being released with a total of 25 prints overseas and that too at 40 separate locations.

The man to make this happen is Supreme Raju who is making his foray into distribution as he has bought the overseas rights. This is the first movie with such an extensive release across overseas locations and the expectations are high on this one.

On the other hand, many are trying to see whether this would get any effect from the other movie 'Josh' marking the debut of Nagachaitanya.

His political career may have not gone the way he wished, but megastar Chiranjeevi has reason to smile. His son Ram Charan Tej is following in his footsteps. Charan's second film, Magadheera, with a budget that runs into crores is touted as one of Tollywood's most expensive projects.

The film is all set to hit screens this Friday and the young actor - though slightly tired of a gruelling 240 day shoot wielding heavy swords and armor - is confident of meeting expectations.

"I'm very confident. We have done some good, hard work and I am sure it should do well," says Charan.

The promos of the film - a period drama based on the concept of rebirth - shows Charan riding a chariot and seems to be set the pace for the ambitious project already. While Chiru junior confesses that the horse riding came easy, sharing screen space with father Chiranjeevi was the big challenge.

"I had to convince him for one whole week before he accepted to do a small role," says Charan.

Magadheera - also being promoted as the first time superstar Chiranjeevi rubs shoulders with his upcoming star son - has already got fans queing up.

Picturesque locales in Gujarat, Jaisalmer and Andhra Pradesh, 3D animation and Chiranjeevi's return to the big screen after a long political hiatus - Magadheera sure seems to have all the right ingredients for a blockbuster.

Nonetheless, the makers of Magadheera are taking no chances. They seem to have gone a step ahead and even formed an exclusive anti-piracy cell that will be tracking online downloading of the film.
